Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides

If you haven’t ever seen this – it’s a must read! It’s the Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides and it lays out very clearly how likely it is the fruits and vegetables you purchase will expose you to – in some cases – multiple pesticides in just one bite!

There’s even a printable list with the highlights of the list that you can pop into your wallet or purse so you can buy knowledgeably: http://www.fitsugar.com/2920565

Be sure to check out the different tabs across the top of the header on the page – it will show you various different tidbits of info.

I’m totally bummed about peaches! Dang – I think we’re gonna have to plant a peach tree!

  1. You should read about diatomaceous earth.
I just bought a great big ole bag of food grade de.
I’m sure I’ll blog about it when I start using it.
    Blessings!

  2. Hey Leah,

Yeah – we have it, too! It’s awesome! We use it in the chicken coop and in the garden. Last year was the first year we’d used it in the garden. We planted our seedlings, threaded the soaker hoses, sprinkled DE, put down newspaper, then put mulch down on top of that, then dusted with the DE again. Seriously – between the DE and the chickens – almost NO bugs last year! It was so cool!

I’ll look forward to reading your findings!
