Phew! Our first set of chicks (3 RIR’s) are out spending their first night in the 98% done coop tonight.

I’m so impressed with my husband’s diligent work on this coop. From idea, to drawings, to execution – it’s been so cool to watch the whole process. He’s a talented man, my wonderful husband!
The girls – by the way – seem *quite* happy with the new digs! 🙂
Tomorrow night, we’re thinking we’ll move the new babies (11 of them) in their brooder to the storage side of the coop with a heat lamp.
